Recipe #1: Bacon, Cream Cheese, and Jalapeño Stuffed Beef Burgers

Makes: 4 stuffed burgers

Ingredients:

1 ½ pounds ground beef (80% lean, 20% fat)
1 clove garlic, minced
1 ½ tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
½ teaspoon kosher salt
¼ teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
½ cup jalapeño peppers, seeded and finely chopped
6 ounces cream cheese, softened
4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions:

1. In a large bowl, combine the beef, garlic, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Be careful not to overwork the meat. Divide the mixture into eight equal portions and shape each portion into a ¼-inch thick patty. Using your thumb, place an indent in half of the patties for the filling.

2. Blend the jalapeños, cream cheese, and bacon together. Spoon some of the mixture into the four indented patties. Top each one with a remaining patty and press the edges together to form a seal. Lightly indent the top of the burger to prevent it from bulging during cooking. Refrigerate until ready to cook.

3. Preheat your grill to medium. Cook the patties for 8 to 10 minutes per side or until they're done. Serve with a variety of toppings and bun options at your burger bar.
