In the true Grill Beast style, Dave Johnson shows you how to make his Grilled Beastly Meatballs. They’re big, they’re spicy, and they’re totally satisfying. Add a little marinara, and you’ve got a spaghetti dinner that takes comfort food to a new level! Beastly Meatballs have been known to cause serious gorging and in some cases, food comas that result in total contentment, and hey, that’s just fine with us!

  • 1 ½ pounds lean ground meat (80/20)
  • 1 ½ pounds mild Italian sausage

  • 4 tablespoons minced garlic
  • 2 teaspoons dried parsley
  • 4 teaspoons dried oregano
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 cup whole milk
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs (use only enough to absorb moisture)

  1. Heat your grill to 350-400 degrees
  2. In a large bowl, combine all the ingredients using your hands (Remember.. you’re a Grill Beast)
  3. Shape the mixture into ¼ cup wide meat shaped into Beastly balls and placed on a baking sheet.
  4. Place them over the section of your grill that does not have the coals and grill for 30 minutes.
