Steak Taco Skewers

Need a little spice in your life to ward off the middle of the week monotony?  The Grill Beast is grilling up scrumptious Steak Tacos on the Barrel House Vertical Cooker, and everything you need for dinner is cooked right on our Beast Imaplerz!  Simple, spicy, and oh so delicious, you’re going to love this recipe!  This time, the Barrel House is morphing into a hibachi… it’s versatility is a beautiful thing!


  • 1 tbsp. garlic, minced
  • 1/2 jalapeno, chopped
  • 1 cup chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1 tbsp. ground cumin
  • 1/3 cup lime juice
  • 1/2 tsp. kosher salt
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 3/4 lb. sirloin steak, cut into 1" pieces
  • 1 avocado cut into chunks
  • 1 small red onion, cut into 1" pieces
  • 2 flour tortillas, cut into triangles
  • Hot sauce, for serving


  1. In a medium bowl, whisk garlic, cilantro, cumin, jalapeño, lime juice, vegetable oil to make the marinade. Season with salt. Toss steak in marinade until coated.
  2. In a large bowl, add corn, red onion, avocado and tortillas - toss in marinade. 
  3. Heat up your grill and skewer kebabs.
  4. Grill kebabs for about 8 minutes, turning kabobs every 2-3 minutes.
  5. Serve with hot sauce.
